Feed the Kids Organizational Committee
FTK committee organizes the meals for production rehearsals, notably during February vacation week when the musical rehearses. The committee will meet occasionally throughout the fall to set the menu, collect money from the cast and crew, and organize volunteers. The FTK committee may also provide some meals for the Fall Play if requested. Time Commitment: several hours per month leading up to the rehearsal and during the “feeding” period; 4-5 hours per week during the week before Feb vacation and during Feb vacation.

Volunteers are also needed to cook, shop, serve, and clean up during vacation week.

Playbill Committee (Musical only)
The committee will organize ad sellers and tribute ads and prepare all content for the layout consultant. One individual is needed to be the student bio coordinator for the playbill. One individual is needed to collect the parent tribute ads. Time commitment: 1-2 hours a week until mid February. Heavier time commitment in the two weeks before the playbill copy is due.

Carefully supervise students who will be managing publicity for the musical and the Shakespeare. Set a schedule for the students and be sure all deadlines are met. Oversee written articles, oversee creation of banner, oversee creation and distribution of posters, oversee publicity throughout the town and immediate area. Time commitment: minimal until January and then at least 2-3 hours per week. Similar schedule for Shakespeare in the spring.

Front of House Committee
Several individuals are needed for this committee. Purchase and sell refreshments at the musical and other events as requested. Come up with other creative ideas to raise money such as selling “Tap o Grams.” Decorate the lobby for the musical with student head shots (photos taken by a student). Provide refreshments for the open dress rehearsal. Time Commitment:several hours in the week leading up to the show, time selling refreshments before each show and during intermission.

“Field” Trips to cultural events
Organize a group trip to a cultural special event in Boston involving music, dance or theater. Publicize the trip, sell tickets, collect money, supervise the trip. Arrange for bus transportation through the school and a faculty chaperone. Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week for planning and organizing; several hours during the week of the trip; attend the trip.

Liaison to Chorus, Band, Orchestra and Dance Programs

Fund-raising Committee
Brain-storm, plan, and organize a fund-raising event for CCPOPS. The event can be as simple as a raffle during one of the shows or as complicated as an auction! Time commitment: varies

Variety Show Committee
Brain-storm, plan and organize a variety show for students. The variety show (or cabaret) involves students presenting acts on their own. Parents (with interested students) need to select the acts, organize the acts, prepare an informal program, collect money at the door and perhaps sell refreshments. In the past this event has included alums who are in town but this is not required. This show can also be a fundraiser or a benefit. Time commitment: 4-5 hours a week planning and organizing in the weeks prior to the show date.

Mentors
Mentors are adults who work directly with the students who have assumed responsibility for costumes, props, hair and makeup. These adults may have some expertise they can share, if requested. They may assist the students by driving, sewing a project or two, organizing, shopping. The mentors do not take responsibility for the costumes etc and do not generally work backstage. Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week during the rehearsal period of a show.
